Terms and Conditions

  1. 《Wi-Fi Service Pack Pro》 Service Plan ( “Service”) is only applicable to certain broadband user with a bandwidth of 100Mbps or above and is subject to a minimum subscription period as defined under ‘Subscribed Services’ in the Sales Agreement (“Fixed Contract Period”).
  2. Upon signing this Agreement, New Customers and existing Customers are required to pay the following payments respectively :
    1. for new Customers : a service prepayment and an upfront payment as stated under ‘Subscribed Services’ in the Sales Agreement (“Upfront Payment”); and
    2. for existing Customers : an Upfront Payment will be charged under the first invoice issued after successful subscription of the Service. The Upfront Payment is non-refundable. In the event that the Service installation cannot be completed at the installation address, the Customer will be notified of the reasons and the Upfront Payment will subsequently be refunded to the Customer within 6 weeks from the date of such notification unless under special circumstances where HGC is unable to complete such refund.
  3. Customer will be able to use the Home Wi-Fi service provided under the relevant subscribed plan. Customer shall need a device with Wi-Fi capability (IEEE 802.11 ac/n/a 5 GHz / IEEE 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz) to access the Internet via Home Wi-Fi wireless connection with the modems. Otherwise HGC Global Communications Ltd (“HGC”) does not guarantee the provisioning of Home Wi-Fi service. For details of the system requirements, please visit https://www.hgcbroadband.com/en/. If at any time during the Fixed Contract period the Customer requests for relocating the Services (subject to the relevant Relocation Fee HK$600).
  4. Customer shall allow HGC to install any relevant equipment to enable the Customer to enjoy the Service. The Service will be activated after completion of the installation has been confirmed by the Customer. The actual indoor coverage and speed performance of the Wi-Fi connection provided by the Service may be affected by factors including but not limited to the infrastructure of the installation address, walls, doors, decoration materials, devices, software, interference signals and bandwidth to overseas sites.
  5. EQUIPMENT
    1. All equipment(s) that are installed and used to enjoy the Service (“HGC’s Equipment”) are loaned by HGC to the Customer for free during the term of this Agreement and shall remain as HGC’s property at all times; The Customer shall not, nor permit any other person to alter, remove, add to, or otherwise interfere with HGC’s Equipment or any identifying marks or numbers on HGC’s Equipment.
    2. Upon termination of this Agreement, Customer shall allow HGC’s employees and/or agents to enter the Customer’s premises and remove any of HGC’s Equipment from the Customer's premises. Customer shall be liable to HGC for any loss and/or damages caused to HGC’s Equipment.
  6. The Service is subject to a monthly service fee (“Service fee”) which will be invoiced on a monthly basis commencing from the service activation date. Other than the first month of Service which will be pro-rated according to the actual usage and days of Service, all Service Fees are calculated on a full-month basis. Customer shall settle the invoiced amount on or before the payment due date.
  7. If the Customer would like to terminate the Service, please contact HGC Broadband Customer Services Hotline 1223 to request for a termination form. Customer must return to HGC a completed copy of the termination form at least one month (but not more than two months) prior to the intended termination date.
  8. If at any time during the Fixed Contract Period the Service is suspended / terminated (i) by Customer for whatever reason; or (ii) by HGC due to Customer’s default, Customer agrees to pay to HGC an early termination charge of an amount equal to the sum of the aggregate of the monthly fee of the Services for the remaining months of the Fixed Contract Period, which shall be due and payable in accordance with the terms and conditions set out under https://www.hgcbroadband.com/en/pages/terms-conditions.
  9. Manufacturers or agents do not provide maintenance services in certain circumstances which include but are not limited to the following situations: the damage to the devices and/or accessories is caused by accident, misuse, liquid contact, fire or other external causes; or the devices and accessories are operated not for their permitted or intended use as described by the manufacturers or agents; or the repair (include service upgrade and expansion) of the devices and/or accessories are performed by a person other than an authorized person of the manufacturers or agents. Maintenance work does not cover cosmetic damage, such as scratches or dents, or the normal fair wear and tear of the devices and/or accessories. Please contact the manufacturers or agents for further details.
  10. HGC provides technical support services which only cover assistance in installation, activation and accessories setting (except for storing, retrieving, and managing files; interpreting system error messages; and determining when hardware service is required). HGC technical support services do not cover third-party products or their effects on or interactions with the devices and accessories or consumer software; consumer computer or operating system that is unrelated to consumer software or connectivity issues with the devices and accessories; damage to, or loss of any software or data residing or recorded on the devices and accessories; or recovery and reinstallation of software programs and user data.
  11. HGC, the manufacturer or its agents, will not provide technical support services and will terminate all maintenance and repair warranties for devices and accessories that have been modified, altered, changed, interfered with or has parts removed.
  12. Customer agrees that the information under this Agreement is provided to HGC and can be used by HGC, its affiliated companies, agents and contractors for processing service application, installation and provision of service, credit assessments, billing, payment collection and customer services in accordance with the HGC Privacy Policy. Your information will be protected in accordance with HGC Privacy Policy and Personal Information Collection Statement which are available for review at https://www.hgcbroadband.com/en/.
  13. HGC is not responsible for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under the Service which are due to events beyond HGC’s reasonable control.
  14. Customer agrees to comply with the rules of service or support under the user manual provided to each Customer. Customer shall provide the information requested for verification purposes, including but not limited to the device and/or accessories’ serial number, model, version of the operating system and software installed, peripherals devices connected or installed on the devices and accessories (if any), error messages (if any), and actions taken before the devices and accessories, and shall make sure to back up the software and data residing on the devices and accessories. Third party applications installed on the equipment may not be compatible with the equipment as a result of the software update. HGC will not be responsible for any loss of data to any such third party applications and the Customer shall be responsible for managing all other software programs, data and passwords (where necessary).
  15. HGC and its employees and agents will under no circumstances be liable to Customer or subsequent owners (if applicable) for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to costs of recovering, reprogramming, or reproducing any program or data or the failure to maintain the confidentiality of data, any loss of business, profits, revenue or anticipated savings, resulting from HGC’s obligations hereunder.
  16. If any on-site inspection of [HGC’s Equipment] is required, HGC shall charge the Customer an inspection fee of HK$150 for all on-site inspections unless the fault is caused by HGC.
  17. HGC has the right to make changes/updates to the above terms and conditions without any further notice to the Customer and in case of any disputes, HGC reserves the right to make the final decision.
  1. IDD 0080 100 Free Minutes Plan (“the “Plan”) is only applicable to register for HGC Telephone Line or any mobile telephone number. Customer is not allowed to alter or change the registered telephone number for the Plan.
  2. The Plan can be used for IDD 0080 / Fax 0082 services from Hong Kong to above designated destinations. The Plan is not applicable to call/fax to UK country and area code with prefixes 4455, 4456, 447, 448 and 449. Call/fax made to the aforesaid country and area code prefixes will be charged according to the standard rate for call/fax to UK mobile rate. Please call 2180 0080 for the details of service charge. Any remaining unused minutes in a bill cycle month will be forfeited.
  3. If customer terminates HGC Telephone Service or port out the telephone number of HGC Telephone Service to another telecom operator during the minimum contract period, the Plan will be terminated on the date when the HGC Telephone Service terminates. The Plan will be terminated automatically upon the expiry of the minimum contract period of the “Wi-Fi Service Pack Pro” Service Plan.
  4. Usage for the first month and the last month will be chargeable on a pro-rata basis if the relevant usage does not reach a whole month. IDD voice airtime is chargeable on a per minute basis and will be rounded up to the nearest minute.
  5. HGC Global Communications reserves the right to vary or terminate the charges, offer, coverage and terms and conditions of service and shall have the final decision in case of any dispute.
  6. Customer understands and agrees that the provision of the Service may be affected by uncertain factors such as the restrictions of the relevant laws and regulations and other restrictions on infrastructure which cannot be controlled by HGC. If the use of the Service is affected, interrupted or temporarily suspended due to the above uncertain factors or other events which are beyond HGC’s control, HGC shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever incurred by the Customer therefrom.
  7. The Plan is subject to HGC Global Communications 's General and Special Terms and Conditions and Personal Data Policy which will be amended by HGC Global Communications from time to time. Please visit HGC Global Communications website https://www.hgcbroadband.com/en/ to download.
  1. This e-Coupon is applicable only to selected HGC customers.
  2. Each e-Coupon allows the selected customer to redeem a Surfshark 12-month VPN Service Plan (“Special Offer”).
  3. This e-Coupon can only be used in conjunction with a valid Surfshark accounts. Registration for Surfshark account with Coupon Code is free. Use of Surfshark VPN Service Plan (including Surfshark account and e-Coupon) is subject to Surfshark’s terms and conditions.   4. The e-Coupon is valid from the date specified until 31 Dec 2021 (both days inclusive) (“Redemption Period”).
  5. Each e-Coupon can only be used once during the Redemption Period and cannot be reused. The e-coupons cannot be exchanged for cash, postponed, reissued or transferred. HGC Global Communications Limited and Surfshark shall not be liable for any e-Coupon that has been expired.
  6. HGC Global Communications Limited is not the service provider of this Special Offer. Customer also acknowledges and agrees that this Special Offer is not a service of HGC Global Communications Limited. HGC Global Communications Limited is not responsible for the support, complaints and claims relating to this Special Offer. HGC Global Communications Limited will under no circumstances be liable to customers for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of business, profits, or revenue due to the VPN Service.
  7. When customer connects to the Internet with Surfshark VPN service, Internet traffic will be routed through Surfshark VPN’s server. This means speed will depend on the volume of Internet traffic and location of the server selected.
  8. HGC Global Communications Limited reserves the right to change, suspend or terminate the Special Offer in this e-Coupon, as well as, these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes, HGC Global Communications Limited reserves the right of final decision of all related matter.
  9. Should there be any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall prevail.
